Overview
Singapore packs gardens, futuristic architecture, multicultural neighbourhoods and beaches into a compact city-state with excellent public transport. Two to four days is enough to see the highlights, which makes it a natural stopover between Europe and Southeast Asia or Australia.
Best time to go
Singapore is hot and humid all year, with short tropical showers common. The northeast monsoon (roughly December to early March) brings more rain at the start; February to April is often slightly drier. Events and festivals can push up hotel prices on specific dates.
